The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning, creative development, program deployment, tracking, and reporting for marketing campaigns promoting CBSSports.com fantasy products, distributed platforms and emerging products, plus the CBSSports.com brand.
Specific Functions
In this role, s/he will:
* Collaborate with the marketing manager, Product Management, Multimedia, other CBSSports.com marketing teams, and external vendors to develop messaging and creative
* Project manage the deployment of marketing programs involving online, print, radio, television, and wireless media; anticipate and aggressively respond to campaign-related business and technical issues
* Closely track programs and campaigns and provide regular and ad hoc reporting on marketing performance; plan and implement ongoing creative testing strategies; optimize results based on learning’s
* Implement and use tools for managing the marketing process:
o Project plans
o Timelines
o Budgets
o Ad trafficking and approvals
* Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution in a timely fashion; operate independently, juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment
* Generate and sell ideas
* Use a diplomatic approach with internal and external partners and customers
* Use internal content management tools to upload and publish on-site marketing campaigns
* Coordinate cross-promotions, co-marketing efforts, traffic forecasts, and Sales relationships
Job Requirements
Skills Required
* 2-4+ years of industry experience in Interactive Media with a marketing background that includes experience with both new and traditional media
* Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
* Has a basic understanding of channels and media; understands marketing strategy
* Extremely well-organized, deadline-oriented, and creative self-starter with strong teamwork, multi-tasking, and project management skills; must be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, challenged by accountability, and an innovator
* Demonstrated analytic skills: some understanding of consumer research, data mining, product strategy, pricing, and online promotion/Web analytics; able to measure marketing and promotional effectiveness, structure marketing tests, and track performance using marketing and web analytics.
* Rigorous attention to detail
* Advanced user of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and other Office applications
* Experience with design software, such as PhotoShop; graphics and media production skills and portfolio desired, but not essential
* Basic knowledge of HTML
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Psychology or English preferred) or equivalent training and experience
