Shopatron is actively seeking a Vice President of Marketing This position is ideally suited for a marketing executive with experience in managing teams in high growth environments. The ideal candidate will have high-tech experience with both startups and established companies.
The position is based in San Luis Obispo, California and reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of marketing, including demand generation, corporate marketing, product marketing, channel marketing, telemarketing, and product management; Grow business in a cost-efficient and ROI-focused manner; Create and implement long-term marketing strategies to drive revenue and build customer loyalty; Direct and manage PR and analyst relations; Direct all lead generation activities; Create and implement marketing programs to drive qualified opportunities and revenue; Refine company direction using intelligence from the market, customers, and competition; Plan and track the marketing mix for go-to-market programs; Develop worldwide marketing strategies to optimize end user registrations, qualification, and creation of opportunities for the sales team and partners, and ensure successful follow through of qualified opportunities; Own the brand’s online presence; manage and coordinate online creative / content development; ensure alignment of all online initiatives.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience and characteristics: Must have experience marketing software, preferably hosted applications or SaaS solutions; Experience with online marketing, online communities, pay-per-click advertising, web technologies and search engine advertising; Results oriented team player with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; Experience in rapid growth, hyper- competitive, fast paced environments; Demonstrated personal and professional history of goal setting and achievement above and beyond expectations; Strong leadership, organizational and budget management skills; Proven ability to build and manage a team; Ability to approach marketing on both a quantitative as well as qualitative focus; Metric-driven with passion for closed loop marketing; Analytical and detail oriented, with relationship-building skills and a passion for superb customer service; Experience with B-to-B direct marketing, web-based demand generation, marketing automation and campaign management tools; Roll up your sleeves attitude with large and small company experience; Minimum Education and Experience Required: 10+ years high-tech marketing experience, preferably at a blend of startup and established companies. Undergraduate degree in technical field or marketing- related discipline; MBA desired but not required.
