Play an important role at AOL by growing AOL Media’s web audience through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You will join a team of SEO Property Managers and Producers working to optimize AOL Media’s websites. Your main responsibility will be to drive and increase search engine traffic by creating and implementing competitive SEO strategies. Duties/Responsibilities: Manages overall SEO strategy and implementation for assigned websites; Meets or exceeds competitive traffic goals and AOL SEO Compliance Standards; Project manages SEO initiatives in collaboration with SEO Designees and Channel Leads from each vertical; Provides and reviews SEO and product requirements for new releases and works closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to implement changes; Initiates product and project initiatives to increase SEO performance; Leads keyphrase research, META tag development, content optimization, and link development on an ongoing basis; Conducts competitive benchmarking, analysis, and monitoring; Spearheads education, advocacy, and evangelism of SEO; Manages SEO technical, architectural, and compliance audits. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Up to 4 years experience at a dedicated SEO consulting firm or in-house SEO position; Measurable examples of success in link building and search optimization; Expertise in keyphrase research, on-page optimization, and web analytics; Ability to evaluate websites from an SEO technical visibility perspective and recommend changes to improve search engine exposure; Excellent written and oral communication skills to evangelize SEO projects and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure implementation; Detailed understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and information retrieval principles and philosophies; Experience optimizing large websites with complicated publishing platforms with multiple coding techniques and languages.
